I'm a big Fish & Co. fan, but The Manhattan Fish Market goes one up on providing not only more variety when it comes to selection of fish, but also in terms of cooking style. For eg, the flame-grilled dishes, or you can have your fish baked, poached or fried. Good ambiance and reasonable compared to others of its kind. I loved the basic Fish n Chips (Dory), but the Fish Chick Combo is also good. Loved the starters such as Calamari and really good scallops here too. You can also choose from pasta and other assortments. Was pleasantly surprised with the desserts and selection of drinks. Only improvement would be to include a kid's zone which I felt was badly needed here. But all in all, I think MFM is my new favourite!
I live for seafood. And being a bengali with love for fish is something that connects me to my heritage. After trying almost every seafood place in the town I came up with the conclusion that The Manhattan Fish Market is the best. It is affordable with excellent selection and availability of seafood. Starting from Dory fish to Cod, you name it, they have it all. Going to the restaurant and trying their mussels is a must. Loved the mussels but the only let down was the bread they serve it with. The fish and chips are so crispy and light and not at all oily. The waiters are friendly and nice. They keep refilling the sauces everytime they are asked to. They even provide complimentary food if customers are slightly disatisfied with their meals.
Can't agree more that this is the best fish restaurant. The quality is best so far. But they need to give more concentration on service as well. When you walk in you just don't wanna see few of the staffs just gossiping or even when waiting for your food to be served. Instead they should act more professional I guess.
