Station 2 : Bukhara Dhaka !
Started today with a renowned traditional Indian master-house Bukhara !!
With a pretty good view from 17th floor and well decorated space , we, 4 foodiez were greeted by their newly appointed GM himself .
We ordered two tk 499 platters which comes with the following :
1. Rumali masala papad : Rumali ruti made crispy with tomato peyaj makha which tasted pretty good to me.
Rating : 7/10
2. Murgh malai kebab with cocktail samucha n non veg biriyani : the murgh malai kebab was fantastic .. the texture n taste was literally fascinating. Other items were so so. Didn't like the samucha tho ... no sign of cocktail .. felt like dal chocchori within them.
Rating : 7/10
3. Ice cream : very ordinary vanilla ice cream .
Rating : 7/10
4.flavored ice tea : frustrating. Chilled liquor cha with two mint leaves.
Rating : 3/10
5. Welcome drink : tasted like betel nuts.
Rating : 8/10 for different taste surprise
Service : They were nice but we had to ask frequently for each item. But attitude was pretty good. We had a good chat.
Rating : 7.5/10
So, that was bukhari for me today !
Rushing to another restaurant waiting with delicious platters for me kiki emoticon
the Murgh Malai Kabab was very good- a must try !
tried the Biriyani- it was a good one. The Samosa was an ordinary one. But the iced tea was not good enough!
Finally I was here at this weekend!
Had in my wishlist since ages, finally I made a move today.
Located at prime location in Banai, Top of Iqbal center.
An authentic North Indian cuisine. Where the hospitality and ambiance was excellent than expected.
Tried starters like Romali Masala Papad, Non-Veg. Platter with varieties.
Platter Dishes was all Yummi & Juicy as they came from clay oven.
Ended with Dessert Chocolate Gulab Jamun & Spl. Gujjiya.

I have always looked for good Indian food in Dhaka. Tried some of the renowned Indian restaurants in Banani, Gulshan. Mostly haven't got the genuine taste of Indian food in those places. I won't blame them much for that bcoz the actual Indian (specially South Indian) food tastes very different than Bangladeshi food, as they use yogurt, tomato, tamarind, curry leaves etc a lot, that usually we, Bangladeshis don't like. So, these restaurants modify the recipe in some way to match our taste. In that some of us (who previously lived in India for a long time) and the expats who likes Indian food loose the chance to have proper Indian dishes in Dhaka.
I have to say, I have liked Bukhara's food very much. One reason may be that, they use all ingredients which they make on their own. So, all food has the genuine taste. Also, all food served very hot and fresh. I liked many of the dishes very much, like Papdi Chaat, Cocktail Samosa, Kathai Roll, Aatish Kebab etc. The tamarind sauce was very tasty as well. We tried all North Indian dishes. They will be including South Indian dishes very soon as they said. I was curious to know the chef names, Chef Bacchan Singh and Chef Rahim (kebab items) are the two main chefs who prepares the great food. And, the manager Mohammad Imam was very cordial to make sure the hospitality was up to the mark.
I loved the place and food very much. Definitely going back again to check out the new additions in coming days. Hope you all will like the place too.
Excellent Food combined with loving atmosphere and world class service made Bukhara one of the best Indian restaurants in Dhaka. Especially enjoyed Aatish Kebab, Chicken Nezami and Paneer Makhni. Also the fusion of Gulab Jamun and Kulfi was awesome.
